Ask the concierge what’s on tonight
The concierge is an AI assistant that answers from the same going-out agenda you have been reading on this site — tonight’s club nights, gigs, shows and free-entry windows, in whichever city you ask about.
It is for the questions a list cannot answer. Not “what is on tonight”, which the agenda already tells you, but “where can I hear live jazz before ten and still get dinner after”, or “it is raining and we are four people who do not dance”.
What you can ask it
Anything you would ask a friend who happens to know what is on. Say the shape of the night rather than a keyword, and say the constraints — they are what a listing page cannot take into account.
- “Something live tonight, walking distance from the centre, under 20 euros.”
- “We are six, we want to eat first and dance after — what works?”
- “Nothing is on that I like. What else could we do?”
- “What is happening on Saturday that is not a club?”
Where the answers come from
From this site’s listings and nothing else. Every event it puts in front of you is one that exists on whatspoppin, with the same title, the same time and the same wording about the door price as the page it came from.
When nothing fits, it says so and suggests something else to do instead. That is the whole point of asking rather than scrolling: a list has to pretend the answer is in it.
It is a language model, so it can still get a detail wrong in a sentence. Check with the venue before you travel — the same advice we would give about a flyer.
Which city
One concierge, every city we cover. If you arrive from a city page it already knows where you mean; otherwise it asks, and you answer in the conversation like you would answer anyone else.
What it costs
Nothing. The agenda on this site is free and it stays that way — the concierge withholds none of it, and there is no listing you can only reach by asking.
It does need an account, for one reason: a conversation has to belong to somebody before we can keep it for you, and keeping it is what lets you close the tab and come back to it.
Good to know
Is this a person?
No. It is an AI assistant. It will tell you so at the top of every conversation, and it is never a member of staff typing.
Do I need an account?
To send a message, yes — it is free and takes a moment. To read the agenda, no: every listing on this site is open to everyone, signed in or not.
What happens to what I type?
Your conversations are kept against your account so you can reopen them, and what you type is sent to our AI provider to write the reply. You can delete any conversation, or your whole account, whenever you like — deleting the account takes the conversations with it.
Can it book anything for me?
No. It points you at what is on and where to get in; the door, the ticket and the table are between you and the venue.
